Focusing on communitiesThe Hawke's Bay DHB’s Population Health team focus is on the health of Hawke's Bay communities. The team aim to keep people healthy and prevent illness through health promotion, prevention and health protection activities.
Patient referrals - primary care to secondary services
Where there is an e-referral available, use it. Any other referrals should be sent directly to the relevant department if that is known. Alternatively you can send referrals directly to the Outpatient Referral Centre (ORC).
Community Pharmacy and Pharmacist Service contractsThe Pharmacy/Pharmacist Service Contract Policy comes into effect on 2 November 2020. It specifies how and under which conditions Hawke’s Bay DHB will purchase new community pharmacy / pharmacist services.
Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive CareThe BASIC course is designed to teach the practical management of critically ill patients. It consists of lectures, skill stations and interactive tutorials covering many aspects of the care of critically ill patients, with an emphasis on supportive management, particularly mechanical ventilation.
The Central Region Metabolic and Bariatric Service (CRMBS) is provided at Wellington Hospital for the District Health Board’s in the lower half of the North Island including Capital & Coast, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, MidCentral, Whanganui and Hawke’s Bay.
