Nurse Entry to Practice and Nurse Entry to Specialist Practice Programme

Applications are now open for the Hawkes Bay DHB September 2022 intake – all applicants must come via the ACE Nursing website.

Our NETP programme is based on the national Health Workforce Directorate (HWD) specifications and the Nursing Council (NCNZ) competencies for the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice . The overall goal of the NETP programme is that:

“New Zealand nursing graduates commence their careers in New Zealand: well supported, safe, skilled and confident in their clinical practice”.

The HBDHB NETP programme has been designed to provide structured education to consolidate the NCNZ competencies and support your transition into professional nursing practice. This programme encourages graduate nurses from all specialties to incorporate clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and cultural safety into their nursing practice.  Pastoral care, peer support and clinical supervision is important, and we will ensure that these remain a priority throughout your NETP year.
