Patient referrals - primary care to secondary services
Where there is an e-referral available, use it. Any other referrals should be sent directly to the relevant department if that is known. Alternatively you can send referrals directly to the Outpatient Referral Centre (ORC).

Our historyTe Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay Consumer Council was set up mid-2013 and we are proud to say it was the first of its kind in New Zealand. Since then, consumer councils have been set up in a number of other regions.
Hawke’s Bay DHB serves a population of 155,000 people It is one of 20 DHBs established in New Zealand in 2001 by the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000.
