Acute and hospital mental health services

Tiaho Mai (Adult Mental Health - Inpatient Unit)

Tiaho Mai is a residential unit, supporting people with mental health problems during a crisis. We provide care for people from Otahuhu to Mercer, coast to coast including Kaiaua and Port Waikato.
Tamaki Oranga (Mental Health Regional)

Tamaki Oranga is an inpatient recovery centre for men with mental health issues that have not been addressed by other mental health services.

Koropiko (Mental Health Services for Older People)

Specialist inpatient and community service for older people (over 65 years) living with significant mental health or cognitive decline.
Intake and Acute Assessment

If you are feeling anxious, down, not sleeping or generally just not feeling yourself please visit your GP. All referrals are sent through Intake and Acute Assessment team.

Community Mental Health Teams

Community Mental Health team

Specialist community health teams support patients and their whanau by providing healthcare close to where patients live. There are 5 teams consisting of District Nurses, Allied Health Clinicians, Needs Assessors and Community Health Assistants.
Faletoa (Pacific Mental Health Liaison)

Faletoa (meaning house of courage) is a team of mental health workers skilled in helping Pacific people with mental health problems.
Taunaki and Te Puawaitanga (Child and Adolescent Mental Health)

Taunaki and Te Puawaitanga provide support to young people aged 4-18 years and their families.
Whakatupu Ora (Infant Mental Health)

Whakatupu Ora is a support families with a infant or toddlers under age of 4 displaying emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Intensive Community Team

Provide assertive community outreach to people with more complex mental health needs.
Maternal Mental Health Service

This service provides mental health support for women during their pregnancy or up to a year after having a baby.
Early Psychosis Intervention Team (EPIT)

EPIT works alongside primary healthcare providers and other community based mental health services to provide general and specialist knowledge in early psychosis.
Regional Dual Disability Service

This service provides support for people with intellectual disability who also have significant mental health concerns. We serve people across Auckland and Northland regions.
